You will have a better angle/ view when you stop at the bridge , get down to the river and look upstream. There you can see the different mountains

Road is closed

Couldnt drive until the place because the road is still closed...

Road is ok for a sleeper van. Nice drive

From the routeburn road just after you cross the dart river bridge is the great views For the film location setting you have mt earnslaw to the right and sugarloaf hill to the left then the small hill near centre of valley Use these as your reference points then look at the classic film shots of Isengard and just replace the river with a large tower

The best view of Isengard. Drive to this exact location, look towards 2 o’clock (coming from the South) and you’ll see large fields with mountains in the background. Doable with a campervan, just take your time

Not the easiest road but amazing views!!! Also, if you have time, just before there is a turnoff. You dive up 1-2 minutes and get to this awesome pink house (paradise house). There's a stunning 2km loop up there

Cant really recognise it

Drove to the sign that said large campervans shouldn't drive because the road narrows. So we turned around and left. Suitable for cars and if you have time to walk the track.

May look pretty in good weather but nothing compared to other film location spots. The super shaky gravel road is very demanding on your car.
