Mon partenaire et moi avons parcouru ce sentier à 7h30. Il nous a fallu environ 2h là-bas (en arrêtant sur les autres points de vue sur le chemin et en prenant des photos) et 1h pour revenir. La piste était glissante et humide dans certains endroits, ce qui a peut-être rendu difficile pour la personne normale de terminer cela, aussi de devoir grimper à moitié des rochers en raison des rochers glissants. Les deux premières 2/3 de la piste sont soit des sentiers inclinés, des escaliers ou des rochers. Le dernier 1/3 est fondamentalement une piste de chèvre.

Not for the faint of heart. You need to be relatively fit or prepared to spend 3-4 hrs taking your time. It’s a beautiful track but steep in spots. The first part around the lake is mostly flat and then you get stairs and a gradual incline and then you get the goat track for 2/3s. Avoid doing it in the rain like I did as it’s treacherous. Beautiful views of Wanaka and surrounding mountains. I have an old map book from 2015 that says scenes from Rivendell were shot there but that’s unconfirmed.
