10 Avis
The path from the beach is closed. The start and finish are only at the top – there's a shuttle or a 20-minute uphill walk from the parking lot. There's no parking at the top, and there are no functioning restrooms. From the start, as a fast runner, it's only 40 minutes each way to the beach, and it's very crowded even in the off-season. There's a restroom along the way. The paths to two other bays are also unfortunately closed.
It's open again! Great walkway, no jumping fences :) 30 mins easy walk, even has clean toilets and an ice cream cart on the way. 10$ for parking though (walkway starts from Lee St parking) 🅿️
Really cool place and very iconic, definitely recommend parking at Hahei beach or in town to avoid the big fees!
Minimum $15 parking charge at Grange Rd carpark!!
Nice. But I imagined the beach to be bigger. You walk there from the very expensive parking lot for about an hour and unfortunately you see everything quickly.
We parked at Hahei Beach, as we were short on time we got the last water taxi there (just before 4pm) off Hahei Beach which cost $15pp and walked back. Was very picturesque.
Super beautiful ! By cons impossible to see the sunset from this point and the sunrise is also a little hidden, but still very beautiful
