One of the most beautiful tracks on both islands. There are various routes to choose from. The tracks are easy—they mostly follow contour lines, with gentle ascents and descents and no steep slopes. I really enjoyed them, with a few mini steps, some river crossings, and a short stretch along railroad tracks, which was also fun. There are signs with information about the local mine. I recommend stopping here, we were completely alone in the parking lot. You can sleep in the parking lot - SC only
Belles promenades de 30min à 4+ heures. C'était assez occupé quand nous y sommes arrivés à midi, il serait bon d'aller tôt car le parc peut être plein rapidement. Nous avons lu toutes les plaques d'information comme nous sommes allés et a trouvé très intéressant. Beaucoup à apprendre sur la région. C'était super cool de voir aal les anciennes lignes de chemin de fer intact.
Beaucoup de belles vues et promenades (de 5 minutes à 5 heures) Soyez prudent quand il pleut il y a quelques promenades que vous ne pouvez pas faire
Un certain nombre de vals allant de facile à moyenne difficulté. Obtenez d'abord une carte du centre d'information de Te Aroha. Courant magnifiquement clair au parc. Restes de timbres de batterie au parc. Suivez les promenades vers les chemins de fer, les tunnels et l'inclinaison. Parfait pour les familles avec des enfants plus jeunes. Carpark peut ne pas être sûr de camper la nuit lorsque les chevaux sortent parfois pour jouer.
We went hiking for 2 hours. Nice if you have the time but not a must do of the region in my opinion. The best part was the one that runs along the old rails. No particular difficulty.
Not many comments so I'll add one. Just did it today, it was definitely worth going ! many tracks available for all levels, we didn't go all the way to the top but still did 2 hours. And all along the way there are little mining things (rails, caves, machines) to enjoy
Native bush walks with a variety tracks taking as long or as short as time available. Stout shoes needed.Historical gold mines from 1881 & the rail lines & steep inclines (3) to explore. Definitely worth a look.
