When we arrived in the dark after 9, we were the only car at the campsite and it was a bit creepy at first. But the space was lovely, with signs confirming that we're at the right campsite and not in somebody's private backyard, also a lot of fairy lights to light the place in a nice way. In the morning we took a stroll through the small garden, fed the chickens and bought some fresh eggs. I would've loved to meet the owners but we had to leave early, so we opted for a small paragraph in the guestbook. Fully recommend visiting here. ! Google wanted to lead us down a long gravel road one exit earlier, coming from Arthurs pass. The farm can be reached immediately from the highway.

Beautiful campsite! Lovely hosts - nice kitchen available, and the bathroom and showers were clean and nice as well! Would recommend!

Very nice stay. We booked the day before and it was super easy in their website. As it is not known as instant booking permitted, we had a great spot with a lot of space. Lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Well equipped with hot shower (5min timer), laundry, kitchen. Access to beach and beautiful birds to have a great little walk before sleeping in this quiet place. Dump site is outside the camp so you might use it even if not guest.

Looks like the renovations are done. The spot is just a carpark in the back and there aren't any facilities. The price of 5 pP is cheap so we spent some of the saved money in the bar and had a friendly talk with the staff. The backyard looked really nice and food was great.

Very scenic spot. There were a few campers, but more than enough space for everyone. Restrooms were fine. Definitely worth recommending.

Arrivés a 22h30. Nous avons trouver de la place facilement. Nous n'étions que 4 van. Les places sont indiquées. Ne pas se mettre côté falaise c'est interdit : il y a des panneaux. Pas de toilette. Le lendemain matin nous avons pu profiter du pont avant l'arrivée de tous les touristes.

Beautiful campsite, you can walk straight down to 90 Mile beach. Loads of places to park and not particularly busy when I stayed. Hot showers were a huge bonus after spending the day on the sand dunes, no time limit and great water pressure. The track is long and very bumpy, but just go slow and take your time, it’s worth it!

Great location, toilets and outside cold showers in car park. We arrived around 4pm mid week and already 4 campers parked, room for around 6 between the signs however the car park filled later in the evening and no one got moved on or fined from what we saw.

Ce camping est idéalement situé ! Il a des douches chaudes (qui se trouvent un peu loin de l’endroit de campement, leur état n’est pas top mais sont lavés tous les jours) et des toilettes. L’immense point positif est l’accès au Ambury regional Park qui est sublime. C’est un endroit tranquille, proche de la nature tout en étant près de la ville. Je recommande !

Great location with a short walk into town along the lake front. Motorhome pitch size was fine. We didn’t pre-book but as it’s early in the season it wasn’t an issue when we rocked up. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Toilet and shower facilities were ok but shower cubicles poorly designed as water just runs out into main bathroom area. Overall great stopover for visiting Wanaka.

Has hot pools available on the campground (free), which are amazing. In after hours a self-check-in is possible.

Unpowered sites are on an uneven grass field, but kitchen facilities are fine, as are the toilets and showers. Check-in until 7.30, the grass field was almost empty when we arrived at 7pm.

We arrived around 4.30pm, plenty of spaces left. Lovely campsite in the greens, toilet is dark at night, make sure to bring a flashlight. No signal on site, but if you walk back to the road, your signal is back.

Super free camp ! Possibilité de rester au maximum 2 nuits. 10 grands emplacements sur l'herbe. Toilette très proche, à côté de la route mais cela ne dérange pas à sa tranquillité. Réseau téléphonique ok. Très bon arrêt entre Kaïkoura et Christchurch !

Nice overnight area for any vechice including NoN self contained vans . Plenty of spaces .There's a sink for washing dishes . and tables on train platform. Trains are on display. Can stay up to 7 days . Other Councils should do what Lumsden has done allow any vechice to stay overnight. .

Most beautiful place with views on the sea. I parked here during midday and stayed the day at the beach. Came back by 5pm and place was full (3 vans allowed, place fits more and in the end we were 4 vans staying overnight, nobody got fined, all within freedom area) Some sketchy locals during the day that left in the afternoon. Was quiet at night. No toilets nearby, 10mins walk on the beach.
