With 30 years of free camping this would have to be one of the best spots. Plenty of space. Large fire pits for bigger groups. Small fire pits for individuals. Play ground. Free BBQ’s. Camp kitchen. And all spotless. Not sure you could find anything better presented. 5-star
Great free spot, bathrooms but no showers which is expected. We were hoping to be able to swim but the weir has a blue-green algae warning to be aware of. Powered sites were mapped out nicely however very hard ground to put pegs into.
Great spot for overnight or an extra day stay. Clean toilets, plenty of space, bbqs , lovely maintained grounds.
Fantastic stayed 2 nights no complaints I can see many people want to come here in summer time that will be a problem it's small but min a shower everything is there, well done council
Superb spot. Just been done up about a month ago. Has 5 power poles with twin power, that’s 10 power sites with a donation at that the visitor center. Has new camp kitchen and toilets. Great picnic facilities for locals and campers. Was lucky to snag a power site when arrived at 10.30 am. 2 day stay on power sites.
Nice campsite no amenities need to be fully self contained.SunWater had road closed to other areas if the weir and facilities when we stayed.
Nice place. More busy than we expected - nearly full! Toilets ok - no soap. Nice people. Lots of space. Pelicans on the lake. Town nearby.
Great free camping spot on the Chinchilla Weir, Condamine River is low, there are about 8 or so powered spots, free power, thanks Chinchilla we spent over $200.00 in town on food and fuel. Lets all support our Country towns, they need it. Derek.
