Absolutely stunning campground. The flies at the end of October were really bad. If it hadn’t been for them would have stayed longer!
Sorry but have to say, Menzies council must have too much money happy to pay per night to stay but no box, great place to stay and enjoy the great place in WA?????
Nice spot ,some dirt road ok for 2wds limited spots for caravans,small/Med ok large vans will struggle but possible if not to crowded… a lot of March/Horses Flys today cover up !! But a must do
Word of mouth caused us to make this a ‘must do’. And it was more than we expected! Great fire pits, bins, drop toilet, dump spot. We pulled up late, jagged a great spot, and enjoyed a dusk ride on our bikes around a dozen of the sculptures. Flies were shockers, but we had nets to fix that prob. 20km of freshly graded dirt road and 30km of tar. Highly recommend early morning walk or late arvo walk through sculptures. Simply superb spot.
It's the outback there are flies :) You need to walk onto the salt lake to see the statues and some are a long way from the parking. Obviously take sensible precautions if you plan to walk on the lake if it's hot. We walked at Sunset and sunrise - - spectacular!
Easy access all vehicles although large vans would be a bit exposed. We snuck our little cub camper in amongst some shrubs. Great piece of huge art work to explore if your adventurous.
A great spot. Although 51kms from Menzies expect only about 25 km of good gravel road - suitable for 2wd. It’s a really really cool location. Love the views at sunset.
Amazing stop, so peaceful, sunsets are beautiful.. Few flies but nothing that fly nets and some spray can't fix..
Fabulous spot parked right right next to the lake near the sculptures. Great photo opportunities capturing the sculptures at sunset
Amazing location just in front of the famous Gormley scupture installation. Sleep there and walk around the dried salt lake in the morning before it's too hot! Only one other camper when we were there.
