It's in a fee free NP, so no tickets but a donation box near the tree. You can't climb it. The road is in good conditions.

Impressive trees ! Well worth the 7km short detour (on well maintained dirt track) off Highway 1. Good information site at the ‘Great’ tree

If you want to visit or climb the tree you have to pay the park entrance fee of $ 13 (per car). For children, the ascent is only recommended from 12 years.

Really nice walk. All those big trees, completely hollowed out and still alive. Awesome
