We arrived shortly after 5 p.m. (⚠️the access barrier closes at 6 p.m. and opens with a pass), and we were welcomed. The sanitary is very clean, and the shower operates with tokens (to buy at the reception, $1 per shower). We saw no squatters, only people who live here for a long time with their children. Very quiet, kitchen also available (no utensils but plates, slices and a refrigerator). Practical and fair price ✅

We can't understand the negative reviews at all! The campsite is very affordable for Auckland, the facilities are spotlessly clean, and the staff is friendly. Even the long-term campers are nice and helpful. The city center and beautiful beaches are within easy reach. We initially booked just one night, but ended up staying for five days because we enjoyed it so much. The only downside: there's no Wi-Fi or pool.

The swimming pool is being used for storage. Everything looks neglected. The showers and toilets are clean enough, but not exactly pleasant. We'll make sure we leave as soon as possible tomorrow. It's a real shame because this place has real potential, but not like this.
