נהיגה נהדרת, הליכה ונוף מן ההר הקטן עם נוף מדהים גם ביום ענן. אתה צריך ללכת בהגנה גם אם אתה לא אוהד לוטר! בערך 1 שעה נסיעה מ Mount Somers Village עם 40 דקות של כביש חציל (כביש חציל די טוב). מן החניה 20 דקות הליכה על קרקע שטוחה ולאחר מכן 20 דקות על ההר.

הערות על כביש הקשת אינן בדיחה, זה מסע קשה אבל בהחלט שווה את זה, הסביבה המדהימה ביותר וסביבתך נראית לא רק כמו הסרט, אלא כמו התיאורים בספר.אני חושב שזה האתר הקסום ביותר הקולנוע ביקרתי.הייתי ממליץ כובע או חצאית לשים מעל האוזניים שלך כי זה מאוד רוח על פסגה.לא מצאתי את הצלחת לסרטים, אם כי, אולי זה התפוצץ 😅

Very long gravel road but in the end we find a magnificent landscape and especially edoras that we recognize at first glance! One of my favorite LOTR filming locations

Road is open now. Gavel road is pretty bad at few points and there is one big ford. Be careful specially after rainy day

Road was unfortunately on December 14th. Closed due to flooding. Dishonor.

There are 24km gravel road, the 10km to Lake Clearwater are good passable but the rest is pretty bad: /

Best place in New Zealand, just amazingly beautiful area. Camped in the parking lot because we arrived late. But please only self-contained, take your trash with you. One must take care of this indescribably beautiful landscape!
