It just kept getting better. I was looking at where to stay in the area, and wanting to see mount cook, and noticed there was a campsite with a view and opposite the mountain range. Then...it only had 4 spots so it was more likely to be quiet and encourage people who really want to experience the piece of the mountains. Then...an adventure along a gravel track along a beautiful turquoise lake, no one else on the road. Then...a beautiful camping spot with a perfect view of snow capped mountains.
Only come here if you have a guarantee of good weather. You're isolated, with 30 km of gravel road to contend with. Apparently, the view is superb. But with three days of rain and clouds, we couldn't verify that :( The Wi-Fi is good when it works; a power outage left us without a connection for 24 hours. The hosts are very friendly and do their best to make your stay enjoyable. The cost is expensive at $120.

We do have a generator on site, so all essential services were operating as normal, unfortunately the only thing affected was the Wi-Fi, which does require the main network to be functioning. As a remote high-country location, weather can be unpredictable. The road is a council maintained public road and while we do our best to make this clear before booking we understand this may not suit everyone. Sadly the weather itself is something we can't control. We appreciate your feedback”
10/10 would recommend! Beautiful view, lovely cabin, very nice owners. Perfect for anyone who wants a secluded nature experience but still want to be comfortable.

המקום הזה הוא מדהים לחלוטין. חייב לכולם. אנחנו כבר נוסעים במשך כמה שבועות ועכשיו זה הקמפינג הטוב ביותר שאנחנו ביקרו.
איזה מקום מדהים.הנוף הוא בלתי מנוצח והמתקנים הם נהדרים.הלוואי שהיינו יכולים להישאר יותר זמן.
נשארנו בבית אוטומטי עצמאי לילה אחד בסוף מרץ. בהשוואה לכבישים חצוצרה באוסטרליה, הכביש החצוצרה פנימה והחוצה היה חלום! נהיגה קצת מהר יותר ואתה לא תרגיש את הדירוג כל כך הרבה. שווה את הנהיגה כי הנוף הוא fab. בית קפה קטן מדהים עם חדר אמבטיה ומטבח, חשמל, Wi-Fi נהדר. הכוכבים מדהימים גם כן. אהבתי לשמוע את הפרות בלילה. הדבר היחיד שהפסיק אותי היה העובדה שאתה יכול לשלם כדי לרדוף זבוב על הנכס.
מקום מדהים עם כל מה שאתה ניזוק בבית הקטן.
מקום יפה מבודד, בהחלט ייחודי ואחד המקומות האהובים עלינו. מסלול הברזל הוא ניווט אם תופס במכונית גדולה אבל שווה את זה. המרתף יש את כל מה שאתה צריך עם חפצים בישול וכו ', 2 מקלחות חמות. מוגבל ל 4 מקומות אז הרגשתי מאוד אינטימי ונוח. הבעלים מאוד רגישים ופוצץ על כדי לבדוק עלינו. נוף מדהים לחלוטין של אגם פוקקי, הר קוק ליד אין זיהום אור עבור נוף יפה של דרכי החלב. ממליץ!
Stunning spot, well worth the money. Unique location and the best site we stayed on in NZ by far. We were lucky and the weather was beautiful so we had the most amazing view of the stars and the milky way. Owners are lovely and very responsive. Would definitely stay again. Word of warning though - you need to travel 33km up a gravel road which is a little bumpy and dusty but this place is absolutely worth it 10/10
