השותף שלי ואני לטייל את המסלול הזה בשעה 7:30 לפנות בוקר. זה לקח לנו בערך 2 שעות שם (הפסקת במראות אחרות בדרך ולקבל תמונות) ו 1 שעה לחזור. המסלול היה רטוב ומלוכלך במקומות מסוימים, אולי עושה את זה קשה לאדם הרגיל כדי להשלים את זה, גם צריך לטפס חצי סלעים בגלל הסלעים המלוכלכים. 2/3 הראשונים של המסלול הם או מדרגות, מדרגות או סלעים.
Not for the faint of heart. You need to be relatively fit or prepared to spend 3-4 hrs taking your time. It’s a beautiful track but steep in spots. The first part around the lake is mostly flat and then you get stairs and a gradual incline and then you get the goat track for 2/3s. Avoid doing it in the rain like I did as it’s treacherous. Beautiful views of Wanaka and surrounding mountains. I have an old map book from 2015 that says scenes from Rivendell were shot there but that’s unconfirmed.
