Easy short walk from the road, lovely knowledgeable guide at the majestic Kauri to explain the history and present of Tane Mahuta.

Currently gates/track only open 8.30 - 4.30. Very short easy boardwalk. Pram/wheelchair friendly. Awesome sight!

Very short track to a very big, thick tree.

Short walk to one stop where it’s rather close but heaps your neck to look at the top of the tree, or else carry on for 1 minute and you can see the whole tree no fuss

Amazing to see the largest kauri tree. Short walk from the road. Be sure to clean your shoes properly at the station on the way in and out of the walk to help stop the spread of kauri die back disease. Toilets across the toad as well as awesome fresh fruit ice cream. Worth the stop along the way.
