Not a bad spot for one night. We had the place to ourselves. You are very close to the road but traffic is minimal through the night so it didn’t keep us up. It’s a large open gravel space so the wind does blow a little but it kept the flies away for us! Beautiful unobscured views for both sunrise and sunset. Only thing to be aware of is a vehicle of locals did turn up around 2:30am yelling a bit! They didn’t bother us but definitely gave us a fright. We didn’t hear them arrive and they left within a few minutes of us waking up after hearing them so I don’t think they had been there very long. Just something to note maybe if you’re by yourself!

Simple and efficient place to sleep overnight, stuck to the road but little traffic (day or night). Some interesting information panels on the region in addition ?

Nice area for a night! Plenty space in a gravel area with shelter, tables and bins. Excellent outback sunset and sunrise! Yes, flies are a pain in the ass but they disappear during the night :)

I was just out of expensive coober pedy and looking for somewhere to sleep at 10 pm! This free spot proved to be great.

Very good spot for one night. No toilets, but rainwater (you shouldn’t drink), picnic tables and information about the South Australian Outback. Unfortunately no reception, but we had the chance to see one of the best sunrises we’ve ever seen! MV

I'm a Sth Aussie and quite disappointed in the state of our rest areas, this one included. Have just spent 3months in NT & WA , their state governments tidy up and empty rubbish bins. It appears to me that when you cross the border you enter a different world. Another tourism let down .

Good spot very little noise and disappointed people can't respect the area and put toilet paper in bags dispose properly
