We wanted to stay here but when we arrived it looked like an abandoned trailerpark. A lot of old campers with the curtains closed standing side by side. It was raining and we thought it was a bit spookey so did not stay here. We stayed at the campground next to this one (great stay!) And while we stayed there, we saw 2 other vans drive up to the other campground and turn around as well.

We went to the first campsite on this road...Mac Gregor and it was nice! The lake was nice and there are clean toilets. There is no drinking water only rainwater. We walked the track that started 2 km away from the campsite and it was beautiful.

Lovely drive to and location by the lake. Very nice lady on site cleaning the loos but we didn’t need to use them as we are self contained. Not expensive for the location , very quiet, chilled vibe and peaceful and great breakfast on picnic bench overlooking the water. Very easy to get to and so much better than the freedom site on the road just outside Tekapo which looked souless. No issue or even aware of permanent residents who are in a different section. We did have phone signal.

Avoid at all costs! $15 per person for absolutely no services, just a dry toilet with no toilet paper, no water, no showers, no internet connection. It's just a parking lot; the only positive point is the nice view of the small lake.

Very quiet and peacful but not spooky, beautiful view. Basic toilets, no water, some light in the toilets during night. Awesom place when you want get away from the busy Lake Tekapo. No cellular receiption

Furcsa hangulat, úgy tűnt, hogy csak néhány helyet kell parkolni. Gyönyörű kilátás, nagyon csendes. Nagyon furcsa hangulat állandó lakosokkal és karavánokkal. Majdnem úgy érzi, nemkívánatos ott. Jó hely látni, és érdemes megnézni. Nem volt a hangulatom, de. Éreztem, ha zajt vagy valami rosszat csináltam, elhagytam.

Milyen jó hely maradni, távol a Tekapo-tó zűrzavarától! Egy éjszakát töltöttünk ebben a csodálatos helyen, egy gyönyörű éjszakai ég alatt. Teljesen egyedül voltunk. Olyan békés, csak 20$ért. Szerettük! A WC-k finomak és tisztaak, WC-papírral ellátva.

Gyönyörű hely, szép kilátás nyílik a tóra. Mint mások már említettük, ez valójában a McGregor-tó kemping. Néhány állandó karaván a helyszínen, de sok hely a kempingezők számára, meglehetősen magas síkságokkal. A WC-k meglehetősen jóak a cseppek és a kézi mosószerek számára, meg kell hoznia a saját loo tekercsét. Szüksége lesz készpénzre az őszinteség dobozához, 10 dolláronként jobb volt, mint a legtöbb DOC webhely, ahol maradtunk, és sokkal szebb imo.

Később a nap folyamán, és még mindig sok hely! Fantasztikus kilátás nyílik a tóra és csodálatos csillagok éjszaka! A hullámok illatosak, és szüksége van a saját loo tekercs. De van víz mosás stb nem inni. Vannak állandó lakosok, de ők kívül a tábor helyszínen nem közel hozzájuk. Minden helyen van egy nagy kilátás nagyon ajánlom!
