AWESOME EXPERIENCE. We came from north entrance exact time on low tide. Easy entrance. We exit in middle point becouse locals said on south I will not make with 2wd. Would go from middle point to north becouse esier to exit in north very smooth. 200t Nissan caravan high top 2RWD Tyres not the best.

PLEASE be careful parking here. I left my car for 10 minutes and walk 200m onto the beach and someone smashed my window and stole my important belongings including my passport. My car was locked and valuables hidden. Was daylight around 17.00 on 30/7/20. The road is 6km of gravel and turns off onto many private roads and a quiet area. Do not leave your vehicle even for 5 minutes!!!!!

Rainy day at low tide. Entered with a 2WD SC 2013 bongo on 15” rims & better tires than what bongos typically come with. We did a lap of about 300m just to see how we thought the bongo could handle it. We could feel the hard packed sand somewhat soft below us and slowing us down a little in the softer sections which was enough to tell us that we probably shouldn’t drive to the next exit point just to be on the safe side of things. The entry & exit point was in good condition for us to try this out and we had no problems entering or exiting.

From south to north with 2wd without problems

Perfect entrance! Good experience to ride on the beach. Be careful if you go 15km further south, the sand is soft and dry and with the slope you could get stuck. Made with a Nissan Serena 2WD campervan (heavy).

Just don’t be stupid like us, cause we tried an hour before high tide, got totally stuck (with other 4 cars). Luckily saved by local tow guy.

Easy entrance onto 90 mile beach marked by green flags. Managed to drive with a 2WD Toyota Estima 2 hours after high tide driving on the hard sand. Drove down to the ramp exit, saw cars stuck attempting to enter and exit the beach. Turned round and headed back up to exit at the same point of entry. Amazing experience

If anyone finds a pair of flipflops, feel free to take them they used to be mine :D it's a nice way and really it didn't take us 25 mins on the gravel road, although it's not a short way from highway 1.. I liked the place but expected something entirely different. Like a beach where you can go swimming- that's not the case (or at least wasn't today, as the waves were way too high.

What an amazing thing to do! We came in at the other end further up north (also shown on the app) this was so easy to come onto the beach during low tide. We were in a rented sprinter camper van.. BUT!!! Please beware we nearly got stuck coming out of here.. Tiny ramp up and by pure luck our wheels didn't get stuck. Take at own risk... But one amazing ride!
