Disgusting service! Spent 9 dollars for 2 min drive (cable car). They said 10 minutes ride for see Wellington but actually you can’t see nothing except some stupid lights... And you pass 7 min stop at the station for pay like always New Zealand rip you off!!! Disgusting place

Beautiful gardens, soothing. Much appreciated and the funicular climb is nice :)

Gardens are nice but are nothing special in terms of botanical gardens. Hamilton Gardens has more specimens and varying flora collections for those who really want to geek out. Otherwise the Wellington Botanical Gardens is just a nice walk in the park.

Wouldn't advice parking here, we usually get the cable car up the top and walk through the gardens back down again. Awesome back drop to some pretty cool gardens.

Went in autumn but it was still a beautiful walk. Definitely recommend if you have the time.

Nice gardens. Plan ahead with weather. Can be very miserable if you get caught out!

Quite nice, but we had bigger expectations. Plus, parking is pretty hard up here. I would not go up here again.
