Lokasi kecil di tepi danau. Saya pikir mungkin 10 kendaraan dapat parkir tanpa overcrowding. Sandflies adalah masalah, tetapi hanya membawa semprot Anda. Tepat di sebelah danau dan 3 pilihan untuk hiking. Tanda bagus di lokasi. Drop toilet adalah apa yang Anda harapkan. Sangat tenang di malam hari. Jika terlalu sibuk atau terlalu banyak lalat, kamp 7km di atas jalan adalah alternatif yang baik. Banyak lebih banyak ruang di sana. Tidak ada sinyal, jadi jika Anda datang untuk men-download peta sebelumnya.

Danau ini sangat indah, tetapi situs ini hanya parkir biasa tanpa pemandangan. Toilet tidak terbaik tetapi dapat digunakan. Kami berencana untuk tinggal di sini untuk malam hari, tetapi karena jumlah besar lalat pasir yang kami memutuskan untuk pindah... Kami masih sangat merekomendasikan untuk mengunjungi danau, juga berjalan-jalan melalui hutan ke titik pemandangan adalah menakjubkan! Untuk sampai di sana Anda harus mengendarai 20km jalan karang, tetapi itu dalam kondisi baik dan harus baik untuk hampir setiap kendaraan. Tidak ada sinyal.

Saya tinggal di sini selama satu malam dan itu indah! Ada toilet tetesan, bangku piknik, dan air yang perlu dimasak sebelum mengkonsumsi. Ini di sebelah peternakan rusa dan hanya 6 km dari Danau Hauroko! Sebagai kepala, itu adalah jalan tebing panjang untuk sampai ke situs ini. Sandflies tidak terlalu buruk. Banyak tempat untuk parkir.

Us and one other van stayed much closer to the lake last night, there are two grass, muddy pull-ins. Was lovely. Very peaceful but more sandflies as closer to the water. Nice and clean simple grassy campsite. No frills but we liked it also because it’s close to lake Hauroko and has less sandflies ... Because the Lake has tons of them ... Btw if you don’t like mice don’t park too close to the woods. The tiny cute things checked us out quickly to see if there was something to eat. They didn’t stay around for long tho. Probably best to keep food well packed up.

Super hike! Plan hiking boots, it does not hurt! We did it in 2h30, the view at the top is great, worth seeing. You can even sleep on the spot before or after!

The track to the lookout (3hr return) is definitely recommended. It’s very steep towards the stop and mucky in parts. A little tough if you’re not too fit but worth it!

The 3hr track to the lookout is very steep and pretty hard to climb, but definitely worth it! Very nice 180 degree view. If you're in good shape you'll probably need less than 3hrs. The bush walk is... Well, a bush walk. Nice but nothing special. Still, if you have time you should definitely check out this lake!

Currently very wet and some complicated river passages, it climbs well and it's slippery. You will not see anyone!

The Bluff Lookout Track (3 hours return) is very nice :) We did it in 2 hours. Be prepared to climb slippery roots. Very remote and quiet. Great lookout over the lake and mountains from the bluff.
