Short walk from the car park through beautiful mossy fern forest. As the river is wider here, you won’t be able to get as close to the falls as fantail, but the waterfall is more impressive here. River water is crystal clear. Make sure to leave the gate shut so Billy doesn’t escape.

It’s a beautiful short way to go through herrlichen Farnwald und Steineiben bis zum breiten Steinufer des Haast River. Der Wasserfall war für mich dann schnell nur noch Nebensache 😉 Absolut empfehlenswert! Schützt euch aber vor Sandfliegen...

Hidden by the trees, you can not go to the foot of the waterfall I preferred Thunder Creek falls
