It's a very cozy, quiet place to camp, with several barbecue pits and tables. There are two exits from the highway.
Incredibile campeggio libero! Realmente bello al tramonto e non c'era troppa gente.
Ancora un vero e proprio buono campeggio senza strutture tranne che tavolo da picnic, fiume asciutto e molto tranquillo se gli altri camper silenziosi troppo
Friday night perfect with only 4 vans and few b-packers, great bush camping. Saturday may as well have been in the middle of Darwin with disco loud music ( old man not B- packers) and too busy to count with last arrivals at 9pm ... Some you win some you don’t
No mozzies here tonight. Quiet spot to camp overnight.
Great spot. The river has all but dried up now. Mozzie were no worse here than anywhere in the top end at this time
Way to many mosquitos not enjoyable. Would not come again.
Two dirt road entrances each of approx 500m lead to a large dirt rest area, just off the highway. Some road noise during the day. A few large trees provide shade. Two picnic tables and four rubbish bins. No other facilities. You must bury your faeces and toilet paper if you really must go. The area has been recently burnt so you will need to BYO wood. The creek is mostly dry with just a few small puddles. No mobile service. We seen Water Buffalo, Red Tailed Black Cockatoos, Butcher Birds, Parrots and lizards. We seen foot prints and evidence of a large crocodile in the river bed (which may have gone with the water) so beware. Also seen foot prints and evidence of horses/donkeys.
Too much mosquitos. We had to leave
Really nice rest area! I read a comment that someone saw a buffalo and thought how lucky I would be if I see a buffalo, so inward driving 100 meters into the street and saw a big buffalo! Very nice and quiet!
