Lovely, well-maintained campground with clean bathrooms and friendly managers. Easy access to the lake - a short drive to the recreation area, or 2km to the boat ramp and a parking area surrounded by great picnic huts (we had our breakfast down here by the lake!) Two big communal fire pits & camp kitchens available also (we didn’t use as we have our own).
Amazing camp ground. Old but sparkling clean. Nice walking tracks to the lake and picnic area. Heaps of wallabies.
The bbq and shelters around the lake are very clean and well maintained by the Gladstone Water Board. There is a walking track from the campsite to the bbq area. Campground is in a good location.Facilities are old and mostly clean however there needs to be an improvement in general maintenance e. G dripping taps, broken tiles in laundry.Laundry not clean, camp kitchen could do with cleaning also.Overall a bit disappointed.
Manager was awesome - very friendly and helpful. Loved the quiet location, campfires and clean bathrooms. Not far from Tannum Sands for day trips. No wifi or Vodaphone reception.
A really beautiful location and lovely campsite overlooking the massive lake. Very clean too. Thoroughly recommend .
Nice camping site. Amenities alright and great view. Owner was very friendly! When your lucky you might spot some kangoeroes.
Nice park , clean amenities, barra fishing, bird watching , great people running the park.8k' s off highway , no pets .
Beautiful location and a very friendly owner. We saw some kangaroos near the lake and also one at the campsite. Also many birds. Facilities are good and clean. Aussies like to come here to fish.
Small, fine place! Super nice reception! The detour was worth it! The camp kitchen is small and a bit run down, but you can grill for free at Lack, just a 10-minute walk away!! It's worth it! There are wallabies in abundance here in the evenings and mornings!
