Una guida meravigliosa, escursione e vista dalla piccola montagna con paesaggi mozzafiato anche in una giornata nuvolosa. Dovresti andare difensivamente anche se non sei un fan dei lotti! Circa 1 ora di auto dal Monte Somers Village con 40 min di strada di grigno (una strada di grigno piuttosto buona). Dal parcheggio auto è un 20 min a piedi su un terreno piatto e poi 20 min in montagna.

I commenti sulla strada della griglia non sono uno scherzo, è un viaggio difficile ma sicuramente vale la pena, l'ambiente più sorprendente e tutto intorno a te sembra non solo come il film ma come le descrizioni nel libro. Penso che sia il sito di film più immersivo che abbia mai visitato. consiglierei un cappello o una maglietta per mettere sopra le orecchie poiché è molto vento sul picco.

Very long gravel road but in the end we find a magnificent landscape and especially edoras that we recognize at first glance! One of my favorite LOTR filming locations

Road is open now. Gavel road is pretty bad at few points and there is one big ford. Be careful specially after rainy day

There are 24km gravel road, the 10km to Lake Clearwater are good passable but the rest is pretty bad: /

Best place in New Zealand, just amazingly beautiful area. Camped in the parking lot because we arrived late. But please only self-contained, take your trash with you. One must take care of this indescribably beautiful landscape!
