I sleep in my car for one night, i think is not a problem to rest here during the night.

Lovely little place for photos and a very short walk

This is a starting point for St James walkway of 67kms, but also offers 1min walk to view/photo point and Alpine Nature Walk of 800m. It’s a really nice and quiet walk! Toilets are clean but a bit smelly. Saw a picnic table and signs for potable water too. Really cool little spot.

Nice break to stop, beautiful lake and mountains view 1 minutes from the parking and nice short loop to do! Non drinking water available, toilet

The Hurunui- nice little walk near lake, beech wood with trees covered in moss, mountain views - beautiful short stop. Toilet too. Longer walk available

We did the 20 minute loop track named Alpine Nature Track. This walk doesn’t go around the lake, but follows a path between the beech trees. Nice views on the mountains around. Easy accessible. Nice stop to stretch your legs.

Definitely must do. Really beautiful short stroll, great view point. Take repel!
