Wow, this is a gem. There’s only four spots up here at MOA Hut so we felt very lucky to have booked ahead in good time. The campground is located on a secluded farm following a beautiful drive around the east side of the lake. We felt at home straight away, the hut ticks all the right boxes; cosy, warm, clean (so clean!!), impeccable view of Mount Cook (on a clear day) and very quiet. Couldn’t recommend this place any higher.

Stavo cercando dove soggiornare nella zona, e volendo vedere il mount cook, e ho notato che c'era un campeggio con una vista e di fronte alla montagna. Poi...aveva solo 4 punti in modo che era più probabile essere tranquillo e incoraggiare le persone che vogliono davvero sperimentare il pezzo delle montagne. Poi...una avventura lungo una pista di grigno lungo un bel lago turchese, nessuno altro sulla strada. Poi...un bel campeggio con una vista perfetta delle montagne coperte di neve.

Only come here if you have a guarantee of good weather. You're isolated, with 30 km of gravel road to contend with. Apparently, the view is superb. But with three days of rain and clouds, we couldn't verify that :( The Wi-Fi is good when it works; a power outage left us without a connection for 24 hours. The hosts are very friendly and do their best to make your stay enjoyable. The cost is expensive at $120.

We do have a generator on site, so all essential services were operating as normal, unfortunately the only thing affected was the Wi-Fi, which does require the main network to be functioning. As a remote high-country location, weather can be unpredictable. The road is a council maintained public road and while we do our best to make this clear before booking we understand this may not suit everyone. Sadly the weather itself is something we can't control. We appreciate your feedback”

Questo posto è assolutamente incredibile. Un must per tutti. Abbiamo viaggiato per diverse settimane e questo è il miglior campeggio che abbiamo visitato.

Che posto incredibile. Le viste sono imbattibili e le strutture sono fantastiche. vorrei che avessimo potuto rimanere più a lungo. Vale la pena di battere la strada della griglia per arrivare lì.

Abbiamo soggiornato in una casa auto-contenuta per una notte alla fine di marzo. Rispetto alle strade di grano in Australia, la strada di grano in e fuori era un sogno! Guidare un po 'più veloce e non sentirai la classificazione così tanto. Vale la pena guidare perché le viste sono fab. Incredibile piccola casa con bagno e cucina, camino, grande wifi. Le stelle sono incredibili anche. Mi è piaciuto sentire le mucche di notte. L'unica cosa che mi ha messo era il fatto che si poteva pagare per cacciare il cervo sulla proprietà.

Un posto fantastico con tutto ciò che stai nascondendo nella piccola casa.

Bellissimo posto isolato, sicuramente unico e uno dei nostri luoghi preferiti. La pista è navigabile se battuta in una grande van ma ne vale la pena. La cabina ha tutto il necessario con cibi da cucinare ecc, 2 docce calde. Limitato a 4 piste in modo che si sentiva molto intimo e accogliente. I proprietari molto rispondenti e popped sopra per controllare su di noi. Vista assolutamente mozzafiato del lago Pukaki, il monte Cook e vicino a nessuna inquinamento luminoso per una bella vista della Via Lattea. Consigliamo vivamente!
