Ottimo per i traghetti interisola o l'accesso alla Queen Charlotte Track. Facilità pulite e funzionali ma obsolete. Fare attenzione alle capre sulla scogliera sopra la linea ferroviaria.

Surprised by the negative comments. The welcome was friendly and the sites are a good size. Amenities are really good: nice hot showers, a large kitchen, and everything is clean. Very quiet at night. Honestly, a perfect place to stay in Picton.

The owner was very rude. When we wanted to check in, he told me that we still had to pay. As we already put our payment details in while booking I was skeptical and said that I wanted to check my banking app first if nothing had been charged (because all the other times I had booked a campsite it was that way). He then responded that we could drive to the next campsite if I didn’t trust him and just walked out of the room. Even though there was nothing charged I found his behavior very rude.

Excellent service. I made a last-minute booking because I was crossing by ferry at the last minute, and they reserved a very comfortable and warm cabin for me. When I called to explain that we would be arriving on the last-minute ferry, they said it was very understandable and not to worry, that they would leave the keys next to the main office. It's also worth mentioning that the showers had wonderfully hot water, the laundry service was spectacular with a washer and dryer, and the kitchen was fully equipped.

Infrastructure is bit old otherwise it was nice place to stay. Wifi was not free. Bathrooms, kitchen, fresh water to refill, waste dump, power site all facilities were good. Beautiful morning view, we enjoyed when train was crossing over.

As already mentioned, the infrastructure is a bit outdated, but everything was very clean. Showers were freshly painted and hot. The kitchen and appliances were clean. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We stayed here for two nights for hiking. At €20 per night, it was perfectly fine. Many campsites in Germany cost more.

La mia prenotazione è stata confermata, una cabina con doccia / bagno / TV / asciugamani / asciugacapelli. All'arrivo, hanno detto che c'era un errore di software, solo cabine di base erano disponibili, e i problemi di software non potevano essere risolti. Questo sembra essere un modello di business: un'offerta a buon mercato, e all'arrivo, ti viene offerta una cabina con nulla. La cabina ha un odore terribile di fumo di sigaretta stagnante, e il bagno comune ha anche un odore di sigarette. Meglio non! Non stare bene!!!

Ottimo posto per trascorrere una notte ma niente di più, infrastruttura leggermente obsoleta e nessun wifi gratuito!

Il nostro traghetto dall'isola settentrionale è arrivato alle 11:45 e abbiamo chiamato nel pomeriggio se potessimo effettuare il check-in che tardi, hanno detto solo di prendere un posto e pagare la mattina successiva - che ha funzionato perfettamente bene per noi e siamo stati grati per un facile 5 minuti di cammino dal traghetto. si può sentire il treno al mattino presto e le docce / cucina / bagno sono abbastanza scomparsi, ma ok per una soluzione di una notte / traghetto:)
