A truly beautiful location, right on the lake, with plenty of space and a fantastic view. Absolutely fantastic. The owner is very warm and welcoming. The glowworms nearby are fascinating. The toilets and showers are clean, so no problem. We had no major problems getting there with our campervan (3.60 m wide and 7.80 m long). It is quite narrow for about 800 meters, though, so it's a good idea to call ahead to avoid oncoming traffic.

Nel nostro cammino verso il campeggio, abbiamo scoperto che la strada era chiusa e non sarebbe stata riaperta per altre tre ore. Dopo aver contattato il campeggio per cancellare la nostra prenotazione, non hanno offerto alcun aiuto. La receptionista non aveva alcuna intenzione di cancellare la prenotazione ed era del tutto impaziente. Abbiamo dovuto aspettare da qualche parte fino a quando la strada non si è riaperta. Fortunatamente abbiamo trovato un altro campeggio.

Fantastic location, however the toilet block and to a lesser extent the shower block was filthy. We stayed for three nights, on arrival the toilet and shower blocks were dirty. A used plaster was on the urinal, when we left it was still there, no effort to clean while during our stay. It calls itself an Eco Village, does that mean they don't use cleaning products or water?

Beautifully placed. Friendly staff. A couple of nice walks. And beautiful place to just sit and breath. And swim. And see glowworms. 2 things: 1. The gravel road down there is very narrow. 2. If you request an unpowered site for your campervan, remember to state in your booking that tou sleep in your vehicle and not in a tent.

Beautifully located and isolated campsite. Glowworms and phosphorescent algae in the water made the place feel magical. The road there is pretty rough, and I would not go here in a large motorhome. It was a bit hard to find a level spot for the van. Hot showers were $2 for 4 minutes and coins could be bought at the dairy onsite. Showers could use a cleaning but was functional and the water was hot. The lack of shiny new facilities was 100% made up for by the atmosphere at this campsite

Un bel campeggio con proprietari molto amichevoli. Puoi noleggiare kayaks e SUP e, con un po 'di fortuna, vedere gli stingrays. Di notte, l'acqua brilla, e ci sono innumerevoli farfalle. Per noi, uno dei luoghi più magici della Nuova Zelanda.

The view is amazing , but we spent the night there with our camper van and the road is very challenging for a big van. The toilets and showers are disgusting and even the kitchen was during not clean in the evening. It is ok if you are staying one night but not recommendale for longer stays.

Lovely setting and welcoming owners. Showers/ toilets/ kitchen all clean. Kayaking around the bay in the day was great and the glow worms and Phosphorescence waters was a real highlight to our trip.

Realmente sporchi bagni, docce e cucina. bellissimo ambiente, ma non ci è piaciuto il nostro soggiorno qui.
