Ottima posizione, e sito. Ci sono campi numerati e si parcheggia negli alberi... ma questo lo rende privato e accogliente. Bagni e docce calde gratuite nel blocco principale, così come una grande area cucina ben attrezzata (sembrava grande, non che l'abbiamo usato). Grande wifi gratuito. Anche c'era un bagno che si poteva usare. Siamo arrivati dopo ore, ma c'era un avviso per dire quali campi erano gratuiti, e abbiamo pagato al mattino. Grande centro visitatori lungo la strada, così come molte tracce si può fare w / o muoversi.

Questa posizione è assolutamente fantastica! Anche se siamo arrivati un po' tardi, la reception aveva lasciato la nostra mappa del campeggio e le informazioni nella nostra casella di posta. L'acqua calda era abbondante, rendendo una doccia confortevole. Le strutture della cucina erano molto complete e i bagni erano puliti. La velocità di Internet era particolarmente impressionante. Risvegliarsi al mattino e aprire la porta dell'auto al campeggio, con le montagne coperte di neve dietro di noi, era mozzafiato e veramente rinfrescante.

All'inizio ero un po' riluttante a prenotare in questo parco turistico ma questo posto è così conveniente per la sua posizione nel centro del villaggio di whakapapa che è vicino a molte cose da fare intorno. non ho sperimentato nessuno dei critici che ho letto nelle recensioni : il segnale wifi molto buono, acqua calda, buon servizio e buon valore per il denaro (54NZD per una notte per il camping van spot alimentato) sono arrivato solo 5' dopo la chiusura (4:30) e la signora dell'ufficio ha accettato di organizzare il mio soggiorno.

La posizione è buona. Una mancanza di servizi di lavanderia e una doccia che era più freddo di fuori.

Showers are a disaster. Hardly any water comes out as you turn it more hot. Only 2 laundry machine pairs and one of the washers was not working. Camp office supposedly closes at 6pm but it had already been closed by 4pm. Tongariro Crossing shuttle was not running because of “bad weather” but the weather was in fact perfect and very hikeable. The Whakapapa town itself is desolate so don’t expect anything out of the businesses. Stay somewhere else if you can.

Very convenient to Tongariro National Park & a short walk to the Visitor’s Center and Skotel Bar/Restaurant. The facilities were nice with a large kitchen area with about a dozen burners and half dozen sinks with plenty of kitchen supplies available for use. The bathroom/shower area was fine, but the water pressure is not very strong. The camper spaces are well-maintained and provide nice privacy, and we loved being able to do laundry with a couple of dryers that worked well & a drying room

The lake view and sound was nice but like the other reviews mentioned, due to the trees it is VERY loud when the rain hits the motorhome... Also, hot water in man shower is not consistent.

The kitchen smells and the showers are really cold, not hot like advertised. The price is way too high considering what you get out of it

The premises looked pretty old and weren't really well-maintained or clean. The kitchen equipment was very outdated and, in some cases, broken. For this price, we've seen much better places. The central location is only an advantage to a limited extent, since you have to drive there anyway.

The campsite is very disappointing. The shower is a disaster: hardly hot water and the warmer you put it, the less comes out at all. The kitchen is a saustall every time despite alleged daily cleaning. There is no hot water to wash. Towels dry nothing. The utensils are old – scratched panes or without a handle. Overall untreated and outdated.
