Great place for a stop over. Well off the main road (unlike how it is shown on the map) - quiet, no highway noise. There was only one other overnight camper. Plenty of shade. Unfortunately, no open flames allowed, so no campfire. Nice 15-min walking loop with native NZ trees labeled, so you can learn your Rimu from your Rata :) . Nearby stream also offers a nice setting. Flushable bathrooms are basic, but better than many others at free camp sites. Can’t beat it for $2.

You’ll be rolling on the tyre tracks of many campers before you. Since 1929 this place has been an oasis for those pilgrims exploring Aotearoa’s undulating hills. The flat grass and simple loo make for a perfect rest spot. The heritage of the untouched native bush around the site is evidenced by the bird song that greets you just as the sun begins to crest, and the mysterious rustles during the night. Sleep well and enjoy.

Great peaceful place to park up. Was a old caravan sitting there in a un used state. Don't know if council are aware of it

Così un bel posto tranquillo! spruzzare anche i bagni. i punti possono diventare ombreggiati negli alberi ma anche un sacco di sole.

Incredibile posto tranquillo solo per una donazione di $ 2, bagno pulito ma nessuna acqua potabile.

Magnifico posto per il campeggio per soli $ 2! Bagni bagnanti, acqua non portatile, terreno ben mantenuto e tavoli da picnic. Solo circa 4 altre furgoni quando abbiamo soggiornato, un sacco di spazio qui. Lo consiglierei vivamente! modo migliore di qualsiasi sito doc che abbiamo soggiornato e molto più economico!

I love Anzac park.. Has a nice steam that's great for cooling off in and the nature walks are beautiful. It quiet and relaxing. My fav spot to hide away.
