Good space to pull up and park for the night. Flat, hard ground, great for vans. The $5 hot shower was amazing, especially after cold, wet days. Friendly staff.

Not very clear where to park. If you are coming from the highway park this side of the tavern. Only about 3 other camper vans, but space for a few more. Flat hard ground. You could pay for showers $5 a person. Owner was a bit blunt.

Good little spot to the side of the Tavern. Dump station, water refill and recycling station. Quiet little town, we popped in to the tavern for a drink, looked after by a lovely lady behind the bar, she even brought our food out to us in the van while we set up our bed in the van.

Didn't spend the night here but leaving a review as we found the shower super convenient and clean ($5 unlimited hot water) and the pub very welcoming. Thank you!

Ottimo posto per un soggiorno di una notte. Il parcheggio è grande e quando abbiamo soggiornato, c'erano solo alcuni altri furgoni. Le docce da $ 5 sono grandi; pulito e illimitato. C'è anche un bagno pubblico a circa 2 minuti a piedi se ne hai bisogno dopo la chiusura del pub.

Very good, in the bar parking lot with showers for $5. Pub toilets and therefore only open until 10 p.m.... Dump Point just across the street! Very good for one or two nights

Tokanui free campground (1 July 2025) has a solid rock base, not muddy. Next to a tavern that opens at 11 AM. Public shower may not be accessible early—we didn’t use it as the tavern was closed when we woke. Across the road is a public dump station and potable water. Originally heading to Fortrose, but it was too muddy due to the rain(it’s winter now)—Tokanui is just 15–20 km away. Toilets are open and clean. Recommended spot, and you can tip via the PDS tip box. I bagni pubblici sono chiusi, nei bagni forniti dal pub.

Molto spazio e doccia calda illimitata ($5) ma l'inquilino non era amichevole e sicuramente non ci siamo sentiti accolti. I bagni sono alla fine della strada come la taverna non li fornisce per i camper. Buono abbastanza per una notte, ma può essere molto rumoroso dal momento che il parcheggio è proprio accanto al bar.

Il personale della taverna era amichevole e per 5$ potremmo prendere una doccia calda.
