3 giorni camminare quasi interamente attraverso il cespuglio. Non aspettatevi viste drammatiche, ma assicuratevi di fermarvi, ascoltare e osservare mentre camminate. Il cespuglio è una ricchezza di biodiversità e noterete di più se lo prendiate lentamente. La sezione tra Port Williams e North Arm è estremamente bagnata per tutto il percorso anche in tempo secco. Ranger DOC davvero belli a Port Williams dove abbiamo anche visto 4 kiwi di notte. Incredibile! L'isola è un santuario del cielo scuro quindi le stelle erano spettacolari.

La pista non è speciale, ma risparmia la tua energia e vai a scoprire il kiwi a mezzanotte

Super introduzione alla escursione in diversi giorni! Fanno 3 giorni in una tenda. Abbiamo visto 2 kiwi intorno alle 11 di notte a North Arm. Un'esperienza magnifica! Pieno di ostacoli bagnati, aggiunge un tocco alla corsa! Dopo i 3 giorni siamo andati sull'isola di Ulva con un taxi acquatico, una grande fuga per godere della fauna selvatica degli uccelli.

I did the Rakiura Track, North West Circuit and Southern Circuit. Compared to the two circuits, the Rakiura track is nothing special, but it is much easier / the way is super easy to walk in contrast to the other two walks that are very demanding!

Very nice introduction to multi-day hikes. We walked from Oban to the North Arm Hut in 5 and a half hours. If you did that, the Kepler track is not that exhausting anymore ..

Nice enough walk. Very muddy in places particularly if it's been raining. Depending on your level of fitness it can be done in a day. It took me 7 hours. I never saw the elusive kiwi but have met people who did. I saw a variety of birds, heard even more and a deer.

Awesome first great walk! Didn't manage to see any kiwi's but saw dear, jelly fish and an abundance of bird life! Definitely recommend ?

Was my first Great Walk and I found him super adapted! :) Nice hat, one with a very nice ranger and a couple of us have seen at the Port William hat a Kiwi at night :) if you do not to strenuous hike is the Mögt your way to go!

Awesome track! Highly recommended if you like wildlife and native bush. The track itself is quite easy and a good introduction to multi day hikes I think.
