Be aware that despite there being 10 marked bays in the section of this parking area where Freedom Camping is permitted, only 8 vehicles may legally park AND all must be between the two FC signs, one of which is NOT at the edge of the section! In the dark this is easy to miss. Making only 8 out of 10 bays in the section available for FC is nonsensical - but that’s the typical mentality of NZ councils!🤯

Very very small spaces, unbelievably loud music at 5.10 am and someone bangig at her own car

8 spazi piuttosto piccoli alla fine del parcheggio vicino alla lavanderia. Riempito abbastanza rapidamente dopo 5. Vicino ai bar, ristoranti e fronte mare. La musica poteva essere ascoltata su e fuori al mattino presto - ma non troppo forte, altrimenti nessun problema!

It's fine for one night, a bit noisy next door but not too late. The toilets are a bit far but very clean. 8 spaces in total

Allowed for 2 nights, good location and quiet at night. During the day the car park fills up and there's a lot of activity. A 24-hour laundromat in the car park was great for drying our rain-soaked clothes. Parking spaces fill up quickly after 5 pm. Restrooms are a block away but close around 8 pm. A few blocks away is the Marina restroom, open 24 hours. Restaurants and pubs open until after 11 pm are just a few minutes away. Very convenient location.

8 spots, arrived almost 6pm on a Sunday and there were a couple of spots left. It's right in the middle of town. Laundromat nearby. Toilets are a bit of a walk away and are closed at night. As others have mentioned, music was playing on and off from early morning.

Okay spot for the night- in the back of a car park with 8 total parking spots available. A bit noisy early in the AM with random music, but short walk to the town center and a 24 hour laundromat (takes cc) right in the car park.

Musica orribilmente forte alle 6:30 del mattino. non so come i locali tollerano questo.

Non il posto più bello, ma ha fatto il lavoro quando altri campeggi erano pieni.

Purtroppo, i bagni sono molto lontani e sono chiusi di notte, nessuna doccia nelle vicinanze e un sacco di rumore di notte, soprattutto a causa, suppongo, a una palestra che offre lezioni di gruppo dalla mattina.
