Great place, definitely recommended - not only for birders!

Questo è stato uno dei punti salienti del nostro viaggio! Abbiamo imparato così tanto sugli uccelli della NZ e gli sforzi di conservazione che vengono fatti in tutto il mondo.

Veramente fantastico! Siamo andati per una bella passeggiata alle cinghie degli uccelli e abbiamo guardato i wrybills volare e altri uccelli costieri vagare intorno. Il personale era super gentile e informativo e ci hanno lasciato prendere le docce qui in cambio di una donazione. Offrono anche alloggio dormitorio in stile backpacker, 25$ pp.

Beware of the tides. When we were there it was low tide and we couldn't see any birds...

Nicely set up walk and bird hides - just ensure you go at high tide! The Centre further up the road has plenty of information and binoculars for hire.
