We also had a strange experience being put in the corner spot where we had to have other campers move to get us in and therefore were essentially trapped in for the night. I forgot we wanted to visit the glow worm dell that night so when asked if we needed to leave at any point I said no and it was too awkward to ask the other people to move. Not been to another site where you are trapped in and wasn’t thrilled. Also sewage smell in that corner which wasn’t great. Otherwise good facilities.

Place was quite clean and facilities were more than spacious. Wifi is free and unlimited. Showers come with good water pressure and unlimited hot water. So far nothing to complain about. But we stayed beside a permanent camper and there was a strong smell from cannabis. Also cooking plates in the kitchen were not working properly. I cannot understand campgrounds accepting people smoking weeks the whole evening...

Great stay! Best shower experience- unlimited hot water and a big private room with toilet and a sink. All the rest is very clean and cozy!

I’m not sure if we just were there on a bad day but the site we were at had a horrible sewage smell that seemed to get worse as the day went on… possibly overflow issues? We were also packed in here with 4 campers in a pod and would have to have people move their camper to leave easily. Also no easy way to get to Hokitika on foot as there are no trails and minimal shoulder on the main road. Facilities were fine and relatively standard.

There was an overwhelming smell of sewage around our site (21) meaning we couldn’t open any of our windows or doors, but the smell still got in. We brought it up with reception, who said it was a rain drainage gutter running behind us - it wasn’t raining in the morning so unsure why it was flowing so heavily and stinking. We were allocated a site squeezed in with 3 other sites, at other holiday parks would have just been 2. Told we’d be blocked in if the 4th camper arrived. Showers were good.

Stayed on a powered site, only $25pp. The site was spacious and there were individual bathrooms with toilet and shower which was nice. Shower temp was hot. Other than a few permanent caravans, I reckon I was the only person booked in which was a bit wierd cos it’s a nice site and half the price of the one in town. Only a couple of kms drive to town and the beach.

Soggiornato 1 notte, tenda senza potere con un check-in tardi in Staff era accompagnato al check-in tardi in docce e bagni sono ottimi e puliti, la cucina è bella (non usato) Nessuna lamentela con questo parco vacanze La zona circostante è grande, non lontano da Hokitika e spiagge.

Il bagno era impeccabile, con una forte pressione dell'acqua e un'acqua costantemente calda. Inoltre, ogni bagno era completamente privato. La cucina comune era ben attrezzata, anche se la cucina a induzione non era abbastanza potente. Alla fine, abbiamo finito di cucinare la cena sul forno a gas nel nostro campervan. Il campeggio era molto silenzioso di notte, con solo un numero limitato di siti disponibili - quindi la prenotazione in anticipo è altamente raccomandata durante la stagione di picco. Siamo stati qui 8 anni fa per l'apertura e ora di nuovo: assolutamente la decisione giusta! Campeggio estremamente ben tenuto, impianti igienici puliti, spaziosi campi, aree comuni utili e - soprattutto - persone molto ospitali e utili che gestiscono il sito e che si preoccupano del benessere dei loro ospiti. Siamo in viaggio in auto e tenda.

Devono essere parenti che danno recensioni. La nostra esperienza era molto diversa. WiFi era marginale a non esistente. Dump era fuori ordine. Anche tu c'erano più punti aperti, avevamo camper parcheggiati in un cluster intorno a noi. Devo dire che le docce erano molto belle. Questa è la nostra terza settimana sull'isola del Sud e la nostra prima esperienza marginale con un parco. Tutto questo a prezzo premium.
