We stayed here for 2 nights with our car including a rooftop tent. Easy booking (just call & have a quick chat with Dave), very cheap space (AUD 30 for 2 nights including electricity), hot shower and toilets (older but very clean) and very accommodating owners. Check the website of the Wauchope Show Society before you go. We did not and went there quite late to see that there was a horse show going on. Ok on a Saturday night we should have checked before. So we roamed a bit around back to Port Macquire and found a place on The Hatch Farm Stay. The holiday parks in Port Macquire closed at 5pm.

It's 10 dollars for unpowered site for two ? Next to the road but that's ok! There are quite a few people around 5:30 p.m. so don't arrive too late :)

It's good! Plenty of powered sites. Basic toilets and hot showers. Very pleasant caretakers. No bookings, just turn up. It's in the town showgrounds, not the racetrack.
