C'mon you meanies, your'e living the life of relative freedom, so don't be so miserable. This place is awesome. Really friendly Custodians, Steve, Max and Barbara. One day the commercial fishermen will be banned from raping the bay, so wait until then if you're really eager to get fish. It's hard going right now. Beautiful beachside campground. Well maintained, clean, and large clearly marked sites. Friendly and really helpful hosts. Direct access to beach. Dog friendly. Allowed my brother and his wife to stay for lunch at no extra charge. Only accepts cash. Will definitely be back. Dog thought he was in heaven

We stopped here to cook lunch on our way past. What a lovely place, on the beach and very happy for us to stop for an hour at no charge! Beautifully kept up! Thank you team.

Close to beach, plenty of room. Tidy site. Trains are a bit noisy but don’t come thru often.

Nice spot right on the beach. Unfortunately there is some permanent campers residing there who have noisy generators going at all times of the day and up to 10.30pm. We noted that they were NZMCA members but had no regard for the rules
