私のパートナーと私は午前7時30分にこの道を歩きました。そこで約2時間(道の他の見所で立ち止まって写真を撮る)と1時間戻りました。この道はいくつかの場所で滑らかで濡れていたため、通常の人々がこれを完了するのが困難になり、滑らかな岩石のせいで半分に登る必要がありました。コースの最初の2分の2は斜めの道、階段または岩石です。最後の3分の1は基本的に山羊の道です。それはかなり厳しい登山でしたが、素晴らしい景色に値します。

Not for the faint of heart. You need to be relatively fit or prepared to spend 3-4 hrs taking your time. It’s a beautiful track but steep in spots. The first part around the lake is mostly flat and then you get stairs and a gradual incline and then you get the goat track for 2/3s. Avoid doing it in the rain like I did as it’s treacherous. Beautiful views of Wanaka and surrounding mountains. I have an old map book from 2015 that says scenes from Rivendell were shot there but that’s unconfirmed.
