The brown signed and marked 'Tourist drive' leads you onto Summit Road. It is a detour compared to the road that leads to Akaora on the south of the Peninsula, but worth it! Great views and if you can, just choose a road down one of the bays on the northern part. No rush, just enjoy!

Very pretty, no specific location where you need to stop, just find a place to pull over that’s out of the way. Take the turn onto Summit Road, as indicated on the map. I think the road goes all the way to Akaroa.
