Pretty overgrown after more than 20 years. No parking available except on the side of the highway. I didn't try going into the moor without rubber boots. There are no trail markings. Just nice to know it was filmed there.

Follow the white arrows and take boots or hiking shoes because it is very swampy!

We think we found the spot but it's obviously bushier than almost 20 years ago. There's also no spot to park the car and besides it's really wet (marshes...) so it's not really a place to go and explore.

Could not find it. No arrow, no marking and no obvious way recognizable .. Too bad!

I made a new cairn at the beginning of the track with a white rock on the top, visible from the road when you come slowly from the city (if no one breaks it in the meantime) ?

If you're approaching from te anau then the stone arrow is a small way up from the placemarker, track is well trodden. Gumboots not needed to see the marsh itself but are absolutely necessary if you want to explore a little, cool little stop =)

No arrows. We almost got stuck on a steep gravel road on the right from Te Anau. Be careful, it's not that one.

There is a cairns (several rock) on the road (east side of the road). And behind the arrow. Be ready to have wet foot.

I found the place thanks to the stone arrow. I had trouble recognizing the place but I want to believe that it was shot here!
