Mrs Macquarie's Chair is a sandstone rock bench located at Mrs Macquarie's Point in Sydney, Australia. It was carved out of the rock in 1810 by convicts for Elizabeth Macquarie, the wife of Governor Lachlan Macquarie.
The chair is located in a scenic spot with stunning views of Sydney Harbour, the Sydney Opera House, and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It is a popular tourist destination and is also used by locals for picnicking, sunbathing, and simply enjoying the views.
