There is a comprehensive selection of free local guide books along with regional destination guides and maps. The Centre also stocks a great range of souvenirs, specialising in locally made items, fossils & minerals, and of course, all things dinosaur. Your visit to the Flinders Discovery Centre is not complete without entering the museum to see "Hughie" the life size replica of a Muttaburrasaurus, named Queensland Fossil Emblem, who was found in the region. The museum also has a range of fossils and gems, local history, a shearing display and a movie on the formation of Porcupine Gorge.
