28 Mile Crossing Campground

Ideal for caravans and campervans, this campground is set among the sand dunes and samphire flats in a semi-protected, quiet location at the southern end of the park. There are some level grassed area and semi-sheltered by low trees. There is a walking trail to beach and park information located adjacent to campground. It is accessible by 2WD. Stretching more than 130 kilometres, Coorong National Park protects a string of saltwater lagoons which are sheltered from the Southern Ocean by the sweeping sand dunes of the Younghusband Peninsula. Bookings are required and available on line via the booking link. Cash self-registration stations are no longer in use in this park. There is a 5 day limit at this campground. Your campsite is available to you from 12noon on the day of your arrival until 11am the day of departure.
