Glen Mervyn Dam provides a day rest area on its western bank, as well as an overnight campground with amenities on the eastern side of the Dam. There is a narrow unsealed track leading into this site, which is why caravans might find it difficult to access it. This is a popular water sports destination with good swimming and fishing (when the water level is high). There is a complete fire ban (incl. gas stoves).
