This is a very basic campsite operated by the Opotiki District Council, however it is free. Public toilets are located less than 1km away. Omaio beach and the public convenience are within 600m walking distance of the camping ground. Recreational activities include fishing, surf casting, swimming and walking. It's advised that use of this campground is limited to a maximum of 14 days. Please respect waahi tapu sites in the reserve by not camping on the areas sign posted.
