Ngahopua Track

The Ngahopua Track, also known as the Twin Lakes Track, is a brief circular walking trail situated within the Lake Okataina Scenic Reserve.

This trail offers a pleasant stroll amidst impressive, tall native trees where you can enjoy the melodious songs of birds and catch glimpses of two small crater lakes named Rotongata and Rotoatua. To help you find your way, the path is clearly marked with orange triangle markers, and it begins across from the side road leading to the Outdoor Education Centre on Lake Okataina Road.
