You must have a permit before you set up camp. Apply online at GDC.

There's no charge for a permit. You must comply with all the conditions on the permit and in the bylaw.

You need to manage your own waste and rubbish.

Camping is allowed in tents and vehicles - chemical toilets are required.

Freedom camping is allowed from Easter Monday to the start of daylight savings in September, in the designated area only. Summer camping in the daylight savings months from September to Easter Monday, by permit and fee only.

Maximum stay - 3 nights, over any 30 day period. No causing any nuisance to local residents or other campers. Don't block or restrict access to the beach or private land. Leave your site tidy. Enjoy your stay.
