Mangatainoka Reserve at Tui Brewery

The Tui Brewery is situated approximately 35 minutes drive from Palmerston North on SH2 in a small town called Mangatainoka. Just down the road from Tui Brewery is the Mangatainokoa Reserve. This reserve offers free overnight parking for self-contained motorhomes. Swimming, picnicking, bird- watching, pets and fishing are all permitted here. This spot on the river is well known for its fly fishing and makes for a great 6-and-out boundary for your Back Yard Cricket. Picnic tables and river access available.

No other facilities are provided at the reserve, however just a skip hop and a jump away Tui Brewery offer free WIFI, loos, potable water and a dump station. All available during brewery opening hours.

Additional to Tui Brewery, the Mangatainoka River is well known as an excellent location for Brown Trout fishing with 50km of the river being easily accessible. Licenses are available from the Tararua i-Site, 42 Vogel Street, Woodville 06 3761 023.

Close by is the Pahiatua Golf Club where visitors are welcome to play the course at any time except for Saturday’s 10am to 12:30pm and Tuesday’s 10am to 12noon. These times are reserved for club members.
