Montgomery Carpark (Mon-Fri only)

Council enforces the vehicle limit under the Bylaw and a $200 infringement fine can be issued for any breaches. Be careful of the liquor ban in the CBD. The liquor ban makes it an offence to possess or consume alcohol within the Nelson CBD, with a $250 fine or arrest possible for any breaches.

Only certified self-contained vehicles can stay here at the Montgomery carpark. A maximum limit of 25 vehicles applies. The area designated for camping is indicated by blue line making in the car park. If full, you must move on. Otherwise you risk $200 instant fine.

Normal carpark with nice toilet and shower facilities in the centre of it. Camping is not permitted from 10pm Friday until 8am Monday as the carpark is home to the local market on the weekend.
