McCraken's Lookout

McCracken's Lookout is a scenic lookout located in Southland, New Zealand. It is situated on the edge of a clifftop overlooking the Te Waewae Bay and the nearby Solander Islands. The lookout is a popular tourist destination, offering stunning views of the area and its wildlife.

To get to McCracken's Lookout, take State Highway 99 south from Tuatapere. The lookout is located about 11 kilometres from Tuatapere. There is a car park and a picnic area at the lookout.

Once at the lookout, visitors can enjoy the views of the Te Waewae Bay, the Solander Islands, and the surrounding coastline. The lookout is also a good spot to see wildlife, such as Hector's dolphins, seals, and penguins.
