Geweldige camping in het midden van de natuur. Er zijn slechts 8 terreinen, boek van tevoren via de website van de overheid van Queensland. De toiletten zijn verbazingwekkend schoon en helemaal goed, er zijn geen douches, het is gewoon een struikkamp. In slechts een paar minuten kunt u verschillende korte wandelpaden bereiken in het regenwoud en naar de platypus-kijkplatforms. We zagen ook schildpadden, kookaburras en monitortjes. We hadden alleen een celreceptie in Eungella zelf, niet hier.

Mooie plek, de weg om hier te komen was een beetje ruw in ons motorhuis, maar we deden het.

We waren hier in mei 2024. Eungella betekent land in de wolken. Dus het is nat en een paar graden kouder dan in Mackay. Dit is een bushcamp. De sites zijn vrij dicht bij elkaar en er zijn slechts twee hybride loos. Maar we zaten in onze camper en zagen een platypus in de rivier door de auto ramen. Dat compenseert veel.

Mooie camping, gemakkelijk te spotten de platypuses en een aantal mooie regenwouden in de buurt om vogels te bekijken. we zagen ook een aantal rots wallabies springen rond in de buurt van het pad Als dit is een park camping site moet je dit van tevoren boeken.

Wow! Toller Platz direkt am Fluss mit den Schnabeltieren. 3 Aussichtspunkte innerhalb 1km Entfernung zum Schnabeltier entdecken. Abfahrt könnte aufgrund der Steigung für sehr große Mobile schwierig sein.

It is a nice little camp with a lot to see around. We came in the afternoon and saw a few platypus from the viewing deck. It is a rainforest area so be aware that there are mosquitoes and leeches around. We did the walk in the morning and saw some platypus in the river again. For two people it was 14$.

Book in advance! No reception! Ranger come to check. Clean toilet :) In the middle of the nature, lots of animal noises, unfortunately lots of mosquitos and if you do the walk be careful about the leechs. They attacked my fiancé but we saw lots of birds and platypus :) Welcome to the rainforest.

We hadn't booked and the computer ?️ wasn't working due to the storm ⛈️ and the rain ☔️ ?️. Luckily a guard allowed us to stay anyway. Beautiful place by the river. We slept like kings. Not a sound except that of nature. Toilets ? clean. Watch out for black ? snakes Watch out ⚠️ leech ?. Tested for you it hurts and it bleeds. We saw plenty of platypus even from the deck. There are platforms set up to see them. You have to be patient. The best time: at sunrise ?. The light is fabulous. Pascal & Pascal ??

Lovely and peaceful spot. Toilets fine. Camp by the riverside for evening and morning wildlife: we saw platypus, turtles, an echidna and hunting kingfishers. Also heaps of fireflies just after sunset, and so many stars! Book in advance through government NP website.

Love this place, spotted cute platypus in the morning from our tent. We have our own hanging shower, we used boiled water to have hot shower. Be aware of the leeches when you walk into the rainforest across the river (they really love me, but not my hubby?).
