Had zo veel plezier hier kijken naar alle schapen en klein lam zo dichtbij. Mooie rustige camping plaats met niet veel mensen. beperkte mobiele service maar heel dicht bij de hoofdstad hoe dan ook

Een mooie en rustige camping. Het heeft twee toiletten, die schoon waren. Rode water is ook beschikbaar. Directe toegang tot de Goldley Head Track. Reservering vereist.

Geweldige plek om te kamperen in de buurt van Christchurch. Veel wandelingen in de buurt, ruimte om uit te breiden, een ongelooflijk uitzicht en een historische site daar. De toiletten waren slechts matig schoon, geen drinkwater, dus je moet zelfvoorzienend zijn. De weg is steil en smal, maar het is de reis waard en zelfs een groot motorhuis is passend als je redelijk ervaren bent.

Beautiful campsite with lots of space and a very nice view, perfect for sunset walks. Toilets are clean and well maintained, there‘s even water to wash hands. The campsite is accessible via a code for a lock which is sent upon booking. The only downside was that it gets quite windy sometimes.

Loved this DOC site and spent five days there around Christmas/New Year time. There’s plenty of space and great views - the peninsula walk takes you past loads of old military buildings and to Taylor’s Mistake beach. The phone signal wasn’t great - 2-3 bars of Spark and weak for video calls. There are just two flushing toilets that get pretty busy, especially in the morning. Sometimes, we walked to the other toilets in the day parking area outside the gates.

We spent five days there and had no complaints. The toilets were relatively clean. There was non-potable water available and a sink for washing dishes. The cell service wasn't great, but the signal was decent. The access road is along the mountainside but remains very accessible, even for a campervan; just drive carefully.

Beautiful location and views. The road up is narrow and lots of cyclist use during the day so drive slowly. Windy at the top. Has a flush toilet and non-potable water sink toward the end of the ground.

Very large campsite with plenty of space for caravans, vans, or tents. Toilets with sink and soap. The site is very pretty with magnificent views and a beautiful hike around the peninsula. The access road runs along the cliff but is perfectly usable, well-maintained, and safe. Unreliable phone signal.

incredible. Don’t miss this out of fear of the reviews of the road… it’s fine if you go slow.
